Katie McCurdy, LCSW

Katie earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Utah. Katie has spent her time working in outpatient settings, specifically with women, teens and children. Katie has used the teletherapy platform for the past 18 months and has seen great benefits for her clients. Katie has experience working with all types of individuals and families; especially single parents, and/or stepfamilies as they try to navigate their new family system. Katie has experience working with adults, teens, and children struggling with ADHD, anxiety, depression, social skills, behavioral problems, sexual abuse, and other traumatic experiences. Katie prefers a strengths-based approach and has discovered many strengths in people dealing with mental health disorders. Katie’s treatment models include EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), TF-CBT (Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and other modalities.Outside of work Katie stays busy supporting her four children in all their activities with her husband. Katie also enjoys running, hiking, and being on or in the water.
